A Testimonial
A testimonial from Patricia Kingsley, family member of a former community member: One of the most difficult decisions families are faced with for themselves or for a loved one is choosing a senior living facility. My family tackled this issue four times over the last 30 years and each time went back to the drawing board. We considered all senior living options in Southeastern WI as each family member had their own individual medical needs, environmental wants and personal desires.
As a retired nurse, my Grandmother valued the high quality medical team and exemplary standards of the caregivers and nurses at St. Monica’s. She cherished not needing to leave the facility in the bitter WI cold in order to attend daily mass. Both my Aunt’s, loved the wide variety of activities and delicious home cooked meals. They felt pampered by the volunteers painting their nails and getting their hair while chatting with their neighbors. My Grandpa was a local business owner and valued a “tightly run ship” with staff that truly cared. As a former member of the St. Monica’s Board of Directors, he knew the unshakable ethics of the Board and their unwavering devotion to the St. Monica’s Community members. He also enjoyed the annual St. Monica’s golf events, playing weekly cards with the fellas and socializing with the many friends he made. The longevity of the staff and volunteers at St. Monica’s was valuable to our entire family to establish continuity of care. Our family formed long lasting bonds with the dedicated staff, volunteers and nuns that grace the hallways of St. Monica’s.
It is now my privilege and honor to be a part of the St. Monica’s family as a staff nurse and weekly volunteer. Witnessing first-hand how much all the staff members and administrators deeply care for all the Community Members, as if they are their own family, validates that we made the right decision all four times choosing St. Monica’s Senior Living Facility. They truly are the BEST in Racine and all of Southeastern WI.
