A Summer Full of Smiles, Cookies, and Art at St. Monica's!

St. Monica's Senior Living Art

Summer at St. Monica's Senior Living is always a special time, but this year, it's been even brighter thanks to a wonderful young lady named Adrienne. We've had the immense pleasure of her company as she's been volunteering with her grandma, helping with our always popular craft sessions.

We can't say enough how much we're enjoying our summer with Adrienne. What's better than a great smile, the aroma of fresh-baked cookies wafting through the air, and the joy of creating art? Not much, if you ask us!

This past week, Adrienne and our talented residents tackled watercolors, and the results were truly amazing. The ladies, with Adrienne's cheerful assistance, created some absolutely beautiful pieces. It's moments like these that truly highlight the intergenerational connections that blossom within our community.

The Power of Intergenerational Connections

Adrienne's presence brings a unique energy to our craft groups. Her youthful enthusiasm is infectious, and our residents genuinely light up when she's around. These intergenerational interactions are incredibly valuable; they offer new perspectives, share stories, and create lasting memories for everyone involved. It's a beautiful example of our core values in action, especially Appreciation and Compassion, as different generations connect and learn from one another.

More Than Just Crafts: A Home Away From Home

At St. Monica's Senior Living, we believe in creating a fulfilling and peaceful home environment. Activities like our craft sessions are central to this mission. They provide opportunities for creative expression, social engagement, and a sense of accomplishment. With the help of dedicated volunteers like Adrienne, we're able to offer even more enriching experiences that cater to the diverse interests of our residents.

We are a faith-based senior living community, managed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and the Sisters of St. Rita. Our staff, including professional, licensed caregivers, are committed to treating every resident like family. We truly strive to be "the next best thing to home."

A huge thank you to Adrienne for sharing her summer with us and for bringing so much joy to St. Monica's. We cherish every smile, every brushstroke, and every memory she helps us create!
