This time of year reminds us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the countless blessings in our lives. At St. Monica's Senior Living, our greatest gratitude goes out to all of our wonderful community members—thank you for being a part of what we do. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
The holiday season is truly about community, connection, and creating new memories while cherishing the old ones.
We recently spent time talking with some of our beloved residents about their favorite Thanksgiving traditions and memories. It was heartwarming to hear the stories of family gatherings, wonderful cooking, and time spent with loved ones.
Take a look at what a few of our residents shared:
Cheryl's Fondest Memory: "Going to church and getting to see my family and grandchildren." Her favorite dish to eat? "The turkey and gravy."
Carolyn's Fondest Memory: "Going to my mother-in-law's house because she was so pleasant and a wonderful cook." She loves to eat and make her mother-in-law's asparagus casserole!
Donna's Fondest Memory: "Being with my family," and her favorite dish to make is classic, comforting "Stuffing."
It's these personal stories and traditions that make our St. Monica's community so rich and vibrant.
We celebrated the season with a festive event, complete with a wonderful presentation and time for fellowship. Our residents gathered together, enjoying treats, warm beverages, and great company.
These moments of shared laughter and connection are what our faith-based mission is all about. Guided by the Sisters of St. Rita, we strive to create a peaceful and fulfilling home environment, driven by our core values of Compassion and Teamwork.
As we reflect on this special holiday, we are thankful for our dedicated staff, our supportive volunteers, and most importantly, the wonderful residents who inspire us every day.
We wish you and your families a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, love, and joy!
